Beijing qualifying 1st round matches of interest

The first qualifying round for the main draw of the China Open features a few matches that are worthy of our attention:

Number 2 seed Shahar Peer vs. Chang Kai-Chen: Both players have been on somewhat of a roll lately, with Peer making a comeback, and Chang getting herself noticed.

Katarina Srebotnik vs. 12th seed Vania King: Srebotnik is still trying to find her form, and King may not be the easiest opponent for her. If she does win, Srebotnik will then face either Peer or Chang.

Melanie Oudin vs. Alexa Glatch: 4th seed Oudin, who lost in Tokyo qualifying to countrywoman Jill Craybas, now has to play another American. Oudin and Glatch were both Fed Cup stars this year.
